WELCOME TO THE 2025
AANP NATIONAL CONFERENCE

IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

Stephen Ferrara Headshots_6.24.png

Dear colleague,

Forty years ago, a group of forward-thinking NPs gathered under an apple tree to address the growing need for NPs of all specialties to have a unified voice. That vision has evolved into what is now the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP). Join us as we celebrate this historic 40th anniversary during the upcoming 2025 AANP National Conference, June 17-22, in San Diego, California.

To commemorate that vision, we prepared an exceptional agenda featuring more than 330 sessions and workshops designed to support clinical excellence. You will sharpen your skills and enrich your knowledge while earning significant continuing education credits. Learn how advances like AI prepare NPs for the future and hear the latest legislative and policy updates affecting you and your patients. This conference offers the opportunity to interact with experts in your specialty area, develop professional relationships, cultivate discussions and see old friends. Plus, you’ll be part of the excitement while celebrating AANP’s 40th anniversary!

To kick off the conference, opening keynote speaker Matthew Luhn — an accomplished storyteller and Disney/Pixar Veteran behind Toy Story, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo and more — will share his inspirational insights on how NPs can develop their own brands. Learn how to incorporate storytelling to successfully build stronger teams and grow your personal leadership skills. He’s entertaining and so worth a listen!

Since 1985, AANP has served to empower all NPs to advance accessible, person-centered, high-quality health care for diverse communities through practice, education, advocacy, research and leadership. This conference further builds on this mission and the value of our collective voices.

On behalf of the AANP Board of Directors, I invite you to register — either in person or online — to learn, gain new perspectives and be a part of the 40th celebration!

Respectfully,

Stephen A. Ferrara, DNP, FNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN

AANP COMMITMENT STATEMENT AND CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

  • Provide opportunities for advanced education through state-of-the-art, skill-enhancing workshops and the latest evidence-based research.

  • Discuss current global, national, state and local legislative, regulatory and practice issues that affect NPs, providing actionable insight and tools to effect positive change.

AANP HOUSING BLOCK

A wide selection of hotels near the convention center and throughout San Diego is offered through the 2025 AANP National Conference Housing Block, with discounted pricing for those using this housing option. Information including hotel descriptions, availability and rates is provided at https://registration.experientevent.com/ShowNUR251.

The special conference rates, ranging from $259 to $319 (single/double) plus taxes and fees per night, will be honored for conference registrants and their families for reservations covering lodging between Sunday, June 15, and Monday, June 23, based on availability. Make plans to arrive early or stay after to enjoy all that San Diego and the surrounding area have to offer.

All reservations must be made by Sunday, May 25, or before the block is sold out, whichever comes first. These special rates are only offered through Maritz: AANP’s official housing bureau. Improper solicitation of hotel reservations from any company other than Maritz is not approved. Reservations made by unaffiliated organizations may appear to have lower rates, however they may be illegitimate, not have the rooms to sell, have unreasonable cancellation or change penalties or be completely non-refundable. Please be aware of and report any unauthorized solicitation to your organization or Maritz. ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

If your plans change, remember to cancel your hotel room(s) through Maritz, prior to May 14 as there is a penalty of $125 for any rooms canceled on this day and after.
